Flipped Out Students in the Classroom
I did not know how quick my students would be spoiled with the use of technology. Having a flipped classroom has been a great experience, but when you have to be out and give an alternate assignment to your classes, it was almost mutiny. My students have gotten in a routine of checking the blog for daily assignemnts. When they walked into class the other day and the sub said, "No Computers," you will need paper and pencil! You would have thought I asked them to write an essay using a stone tablet and a carving tool. I have a constant rotation of students in and out of my classes do to the nature of the Alternative Education assignment. I have several students that have become, "Mother Hens," and when a new student walks into class, they adopt them and show them how to set up their accounts. I look forward to the growth and development of my students on this new adventure. Please feel free to share your experience and advice.
